Asakusa Tour To Resume Soon, Sep.13th

Asakusa

Thank you so much for constantly visiting the Free Walking Tour site. This website adheres to the latest guideline issued by Japanese Tourism Agency. We would also like to resume our work as tour guides for these four locations: The East Garden of the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Harajuku and Ueno.
Our guides are ready and expectant to welcome guests, who have long been waiting to join the tours.

We have also posted a blog for the Asakusa tour, on the heels of the Ueno tour.  These are the schedules for the tour:

Date and Time: Sep 25th (Sun) 10:00a.m.-11:30a.m.

Location: Asakusa in Tokyo, the nearest station is “Asakusa Station” (the Tokyo Metro Subway)

Meeting place: In front of the “Koban” or small police station, which is near Kaminarimon Gate, or Thunder Gate. It’s a two-minute walk from Asakusa Station.

Guides are holding banners with the logo, “Tokyo Free Walking Tour”.

The tour is free of charge.

Please read the terms and conditions and book your tour from the calendar on our website.

At first, overlooking the picturesque view of Asakusa areas from the rooftop of Asakusa Culture Center building, we are moving into the stretched shopping street called Nakamise Street, the oldest commercial street in Japan.
Once you arrive at and step into the Asakusa areas, historical attractions like Buddhist temples, Shinto shrine, kimono-clad women, and bustling rickshaw drivers come into your sight. These would make you feel as if you are in a place which is vary from what you have long been regarding Tokyo as a highly urbanized area.

Don’t miss the opportunity to fully enjoy the peaceful Tokyo of Japan.

Our friendly guides are eagerly waiting for your visit.

See you soon.
