Many thanks to the guest who joined the tour. On that day we hosted 28 people from USA, Mexico, France, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Libya, South Korea, and Spain. We hope all of you enjoyed and shared interesting conversations with us during the tour. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached to remember the fun times we had.
The weather was very fine for the tour. It was clear sky and dry air.
The season is turning autumn and no more heat was waving in the city. However, this time of the year is difficult for residents in Japan since the temperature can be cooler than summer but warmer than the average of autumn. We have to be cautious about our body condition adjustment in the changing of the season, especially from summer to autumn, as well as autumn to winter, which might come very soon. Sometimes we have difficulty in choosing what to wear outside.
Autumn is said to be the season for sports, appetite, and art in Japan.
Speaking of art, near the ending point of the tour, Hirakawamon Bridge is the National Museum of the Modern Art. It is located in only a few minutes walk from the ending point and contains fine art collection.
From this month to December 3, there exhibits print works by Japan’s acclaimed artist Munakata Shiko. You might find some similarities to Picasso’s works. Abstract drawing but substantial figures are found in the paintings.
Regular exhibition includes traditional Japanese paintings, sculptures, and other form of arts by other artists.
It also includes the British renowned painter, Francis Bacon’s work.
You are allowed to take photos of most of the works in the museum. The museum itself has good atmosphere and a good viewing deck to view the East Garden. Admission is open until 7:30 PM on Saturday.
It is highly recommended to visit the museum after the tour or any other time if you want to enjoy Japan’s autumn for art. In addition to the tour, one of our tours, Ueno Park contains several museums.
Why not join us and learn about such art viewing in this city!
