The tour report of Ueno and Asakusa on January 29th

Asakusa

Many thanks for joining us on our tours at Ueno in the morning and Asakusa in the afternoon on January 29th. We welcomed 21guests from 7 countries, UK, Taiwan, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Iran and France. It was a tremendous opportunity for us to meet wonderful guests from many countries and to share interesting conversations. Also, it was really nice seeing some of you in both tours and having a previous guest again with her friend!! As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached so that you can remember the fun we had during the tour.

The roof renovation of Nakamise Shopping Street is coming to an end, and new copper roofs have been unveiled on the right half. This work is being carried out by a company that replaced the roofs of Sensoji Temple’s Hozomon Gate, Main Hall, and five-storied pagoda with titanium tiles. The company says it will provide roofs that can withstand for the next 100 years. Here’s your chance to see the shiny cooper roofs before they turn green.

Once again, thank you so much for joining us on our tour. We always make efforts to improve our tours and highly appreciate your feedback on our TripAdvisor/Facebook etc. Your comments motivate us to continue our volunteer activities. Please tell your family and friends about how you enjoyed our tour. Next time you’re in Tokyo, please join another one of our tours at East Gardens of the Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine/Harajuku. We’d love to see you again.
