Hi everyone!
How are you doing? Are you enjoying the last days of summer?
Although the heat has finally eased a little, recently we’ve often been surprised by sudden evening downpours with thunder, haven’t we? Were you all okay? Last week, a sudden cloudburst drenched me within minutes on my way home! I wonder if this might be one of the effects of global climate change. In any case, let’s remember to evacuate to a safe place when necessary!
Today, even though the weather was still cloudy, our Tokyo free walking tour welcomed 10 wonderful guests from Colombia, Australia, Germany, Korea, and Malaysia. We headed to the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, where Edo Castle once stood. We talked about the Tokugawa family, Ninjas, the Tenshukaku (castle tower), and the beautiful Japanese gardens. Thanks to everyone, our tour was really exciting. We hope you’ll join us for another tour someday!

Since I mentioned rain earlier, speaking of water, I’d like to introduce you to Tokyo’s drinking stations. Do you know about them? The Tokyo Metropolitan Government provides free public drinking water spots, and there are more than 900 across the city! During our tour, we refilled our bottles for free at Wadakura Fountain Park. Please check “Tokyo Water Drinking Station” on the internet when you have time.

I hope to see you again soon!
Thank you,
Junko
