Remembering fun time we shared

Byakkotai
In the Ueno park, there is the Tomb stone monument of Shogitai.
I show you another story like Shougitai. It’s Byakkotai.
Byakkotai were between 15 and 17 years old. They are the sons of Aizu samurai. A civil war between the shogunate and imperial force-the Aizu Domain remained loyal to the shogunate.
Their tragic end has made them a historical symbol of the samurai spirit, and a monument to the Byakkotai stands today in Aizuwakamatsu, where many tourists visit to learn about their history.
Please visit there next time.
