Asakusa

Thank you for choosing our tour at Asakusa on August 21st. We welcomed 7 guests from UK, Italy and USA. I hope all of you enjoyed and shared interesting conversations with us during the tour. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached to remember the fun times we had.

touching straw sandals for their safe trip

It was still hot and humid day, but our guests were very active and enjoyed many cultural experiences, such as fortune telling paper, purification fountain and red ink stamp. One drew an excellent luck and excited. Unfortunately, another drew a bad luck. However, no worry! She tied and left the paper, and the temple would definitely take care of the bad luck. Our guests also tried the different manners in temple and shrine to offer the prayer. We were very impressed with their interests in Japanese history and really hope our tour would make their trip even more fruitful.

By the way, why don’t you add a cultural experience for lunch? I recommend you try cold Udon noodles and cool down your body. Udon is made of wheat flour and tastes great either served simply or with Tempura or various toppings. The two major udon noodles are Sanuki Udon in Kagawa in the west and Inaniwa Udon in Akita in the north. You may know the thick Sanuki Udon as it is world-famous. On the other hand, the thin Inaniwa Udon is handmade and precious, and its texture is smooth and delicate. There are some Udon specialty restaurants in Asakusa, so try a new food experience after your exploration!!
