Asakusa Tour on October 18, 2025

Asakusa

Many thanks for joining us on our tours at Asakusa on October 18th. We welcomed 16 guests from the USA, France, and Argentina. It was a tremendous opportunity for us to meet wonderful guests from many countries and to share interesting conversations. We’ve posted group photos and snapshots so that you can look back on the fun times we had.

Today, we were quite lucky to  see a Dragon Dance at Asakusa Shrine. This dance is closely related to the legend of the Golden Dragon of Sensō-ji Temple. According to the legend, when Sensō-ji was founded in the 7th century, a golden dragon descended from the sky to protect the temple.Since then, the dragon has been regarded as a sacred creature that brings good fortune, rain, and prosperity. The event is held only twice a year, so our guests were very fortunate to see it today.

Once again, thank you so much for joining us on our tour. We always make efforts to improve our tours and highly appreciate your feedback on our TripAdvisor/Google. Your comments motivate us to continue our volunteer activities. Please tell your family and friends about how you enjoyed our tour. Next time you’re in Tokyo, please join another one of our tours (EastGarden of Imperial Palace, Ueno, and Meiji Shrine). We’d love to see you again!
