Thank you for choosing our tour at Asakusa on Oct.23,2024. We welcomed 9 guests from US, Swiss, Italy and Germany in the morning. 6 guests from Germany, Belgium and US in the afternoon. I hope all of you enjoyed and shared interesting conversations with us during the tour. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached to remember the fun times we had.
On this day, Asakusa Shrine held a Sake Festival. Japanese Rice Wine Sake is deeply related to Japanese original religion Shinto. Sake is made of water and rice. They are offerings to deities in Shinto. Sake is used in ceremonies in Shinto Shrine.
Sake is brewed by using locally grown rice grains and water from local sources. There are many types of sake and differences depend on the brewing methods, the flavor of ingredients, the serving temperature and so on. There are more than 10,000 kinds of Sake.
Though it may not be necessary to mention, Alcoholic content in Sake is about 15 percent which is a little higher than wine.
Sake tasting festival is a good chance to find your favorite. I’m sure you’ll enjoy Japan even more!
