Thank you for choosing our tour at Meiji Jingu and Harajuku on September 22. We welcomed 13 guests from Malaysia, Australia, USA and Israel. I hope all of you enjoyed and shared interesting conversations with us during the tour. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached to remember the fun times we had.
It was so comfortable day to have a walking tour. We enjoyed strolling Meiji Jingu Shrine without sweating. The day of that tour was the first day of the Autumn “Ohigan.” “Ohigan” is a Japanese Buddhist tradition that takes place during the spring and autumn equinoxes. It is a time for people to honor and pay respects to their ancestors. During this time, people visit the graves of their ancestors, clean the tombstones, and offer food and prayers.

In addition, there is a Japanese saying, ‘Atsusa samusa mo higan made’ , which means that the heat of summer and the cold of winter both typically end around the time of the equinoxes. In practice, this means that when the autumn equinox arrives, the weather often begins to cool down, signaling the start of autumn in Japan. It reflects the natural cycle of the seasons and the cultural importance of the equinox period in Japanese life.”

Now is the best season to travel to Japan. You can enjoy colorful autumn leaves , delicious foods, and beautiful blue sky. Enjoy Japan ‘autumn!
