Many thanks for joining us on our tours at Asakusa in the morning on September 20. We welcomed 15guesuts from Switzerland, Germany, USA, Australia, Greece and Spain , It was a tremendous opportunity for us to meet wonderful guests from many countries and to share interesting conversations. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached so that you can remember the fun we had during the tour.

September 20th is the beginning of the equinox. The beginning of the equinox refers to the day that marks the beginning of the equinox period. The equinox lasts for seven days, including the vernal equinox and autumnal equinox, plus three days before and after each. It is a Buddhist event unique to Japan. During this period, people clean their Buddhist altars and gravestones and visit the graves to offer prayers for their ancestors.
One flower that blooms at this time of year is the red spider lily. In Japanese, it is called “manjushage,” but the name comes from Sanskrit, meaning “flowers that bloom in heaven,” and comes from a Buddhist scripture that says red flowers fall from the heavens as a sign of something auspicious happening.

Once again, thank you so much for joining us on our tour. We always make efforts to
improve our tours and highly appreciate your feedback on our TripAdvisor/Facebook
