Thank you for choosing our tour at Imperial Palace East Garden on March 1st. We welcomed 24 guests from Ireland, USA, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, Malaysia, and Mexico. I hope all of you enjoyed and shared interesting conversations with us during the tour. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached to remember the fun times we had.

As the gentle warmth of early March signals the arrival of spring, the beauty of the season makes our tour today even more delightful. Hinamatsuri, or Girls’ Day, is a special Japanese festival celebrated on March 3rd to pray for the happiness, health, and future success of young girls. Families display hina dolls, dressed in elegant Heian-era court attire, on tiered platforms covered in red cloth. The top tier features the Emperor and Empress, while lower tiers hold attendants and musicians. Traditional foods like hina-arare (colorful rice crackers) and chirashizushi are enjoyed. If visiting Japan in early March, don’t miss the beautiful hina displays in homes and museums!

Once again, thank you so much for joining us on our tour. We always make efforts to improve our tours and highly appreciate your feedback on our TripAdvisor/Facebook etc. Your comments motivate us to continue our volunteer activities. Please tell your family and friends about how you enjoyed our tour. Next time you’re in Tokyo, please join another one of our tours. We’d love to see you again.
