Do you know the “Gashuin”?

When I visited the temple and shrine I collect stamps with seals hand written by monks. In Kyoto and Nara I met some foreigners, who had the notebook to collect stamps of temples and shrines called “Goshuincho” in Japanese. Ordinary notebooks are not acceptable. But almost foreign tourists I met had the gorgeous Goshuin notebooks. The design of Goshuin differs depending on the temple or shrine also it is different from the size of a writing brush or the form of the letter. We have to pay 500en~300en to receive the Goshuin.

Please try to collect “Goshuin” when you will visit Japan again.
