Many thanks for joining Tokyo Free Walking tour at Asakusa and Ueno Park on December 8, 2024. We welcomed 24 guests from US, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Germany. It was a tremendous opportunity for us to meet wonderful guests from many countries and share interesting conversations. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached so that you can remember the fun times we had during the tour.
December 8 is Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, a commemoration of the enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama, who became the Buddha. A Buddhist memorial service was held at the five-story pagoda of Sensoji Temple. Asakusa Kannon and its replica are preserved in the main hall. The replica will be displayed on December 13 at 2:00 PM. What are Asakusa Kannon and its replica? If you are curious about Kannon, you had better join the Asakusa tour of Tokyo Free Walking Tour. Our guides will explain and you can ask.

<Ueno Park>
The combined tour with Asakusa in the morning and Ueno Park in the afternoon is not mandated, but it is just our recommendation. You can choose either of the tours as you wish.
