Thank you to all the guests who participated in the tour of that day. On that day we hosted 14 guests from USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, Cambodia, UK, Philippines, and India.
We’ve got wonderful opportunities to meet with so many people from all over the world and exchange information about each one’s homeland such as “Anne of Green Gables” story is very popular only in Canada and Japan, and Philippines does not allow divorce and New Delhi’s temperature is 47 degree centigrade in this time of the year.
As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached so that you can remember the fun we had during the tour. We hope you enjoyed our tour as we did very much.
Since we are still in August, the hottest and most humid month of the year, we felt very hot and humid and sweated all the time. August is least recommended month for sightseeing in Japan. That is why we suspended tours in first two weeks of this August.
But for those who wish to visit Japan in such hot season, Japan has a great place to visit as one of the guides of the tour visited there a week before the tour. It is Hokkaido, northernmost island of Japan. The guide visited the northernmost point of Hokkaido, Wakkanai (45 degree north latitude ), which is close to the sea border between Japan and Russia. It is 2 hour-flight from Tokyo. There, the temperature is 10 degree centigrade below that of Tokyo. So you do not sweat even wearing silk and wool kimono. No air-conditioning is needed. You can meet wild deer while walking on the street of the town.
In summer time, it is a great place to escape from heat. In winter time, Hokkaido becomes the world’s greatest ski resort area because of the good powder snow created by the cold climate.
Japan is a vertical geography. There are many kinds of place to visit. How you enjoy Japan’s summer is up to you.
