Go‑en Connections 📀 at Meiji Shrine – March 21, 2026

Meiji Shrine and Harajuku

Tokyo Free Walking Tour enjoyed a slightly chilly spring morning at Meiji Shrine and Harajuku with 14 guests from the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Together, by offering a 5‑yen coin 📀 in prayer — go‑en, meaning “good connection” — we felt friendships forming. Moments like this are what inspire us as volunteer guides.
For repeat visitors, whether returning for business or for a “home‑coming,” and for first‑timers alike, we hope this became another memorable experience that deepened your go‑en with Japan.
And years from now, if you find the poem‑featured Mikuji again, we hope it brings back warm memories of this unique tour.
