Quiet Rain, Fresh Discoveries🧐: A Day in Asakusa and Ueno – November 9th, 2025

Asakusa

Our Asakusa and Ueno tours welcomed 11 guests from Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, the United States and Uzbekistan, including returning guests who previously joined our Meiji Shrine and Imperial Palace tours.

The charm of rainy Asakusa lies in its quieter atmosphere—no waiting at the purification fountain, which is a truly rare sight.
Rainy days with fewer visitors often reveal hidden treasures that even guides might miss. For example, today, we noticed a turtle with a long, hairy tail—an auspicious symbol of longevity—displayed at a Ningyo-yaki (doll-shaped cake) shop.
That said, we were relieved when the rain eased during the Ueno tour😉.
Anyway, your questions and reactions inspire us to see our own culture with fresh eyes—and that is what makes volunteering such a joy.

Thank you so much for joining us today, and we wish you a safe journey home.
