Tour Report of the East Garden of the Imperial Palace on September 26, 2024

East Gardens of the Imperial Palace

Thank you for choosing our tour of the eastern garden of the imperial palace on the 26th of September. We welcomed thirteen guests from Mexico, Germany, Canada, Australia, Italy, and Austria. I hope all of you enjoyed and shared interesting conversations with us during the tour. As promised, group photos and snapshots are attached to remember the fun time we had.

We experienced quite a long summer with scorching heat this year. We had been looking forward to fall and pleasant weather. Finally, the temperature began to drop last week, ushering in a nice autumn. We have a proverb, “Ten takaku, uma koyuru aki”, which literally means ” Autumn with the sky clear and blue, and horses growing stout”. And another one is “shokuyoku no aki“, meaning “Autumn with a big appetite”. We have bountiful harvest in autumn, including rice, sweet potatoes, “matutake” mushrooms, persimmons, pears, and “kuri” chestnuts. Those vegetables and fruits are scrumptious in fall. On the other hand, red colored leaves are absolutely stunning in autumn. That season usually starts in northern Japan. In Mt. Daisetuzan in Hokkaido, the leaves have already started to turn red.

We always strive to give high-quality tours. We would appreciate it if you would post your feedback and comments on our TripAdvisor /Facebook etc., which helps us improve and develop our tours. We would also appreciate it if you could tell your family and friends about us. Next time you’re in Tokyo, we will welcome you. Once again, thank you very much.
